Documentary courtesy of Setanta Sports Ireland ©. N.B. This is an edited version - Original has an extra 6 minutes or so of content.

The first episode of the All In The Game series was filmed at the All Ireland Poc Fada Finals in 2006, the documentary was produced by Gillian Marsh Productions and aired on Setanta Sports that November (Monday 13th at 10.00pm). Poc Fada Cooley 2006It examines the Poc Fada in detail and takes a specific look at the history and tradition attached to the Poc Fada competition. Some of the archival video footage comes from the first All Ireland in 1961 with more archival footage coming from 1981 onwards which is known as "The Revival" years filmed by Eamonn Callan.

In preparation for the 1981 Final a new circuit course was introduced incorporating part of the original point to point course. Serious work went into the building of the course with stone markers (100 or so) been laid down plus the building of the Start/Finish area “An Fhána Mór”. The current course as featured in the above video was purposely built to provide the ultimate challenge for the Hurlers and Camogs who compete in the modern finals.
